Progressive Ruling Rulers

In the downloadable manual you will receive a copy of the Progressive Ruling rulers that can be copied on paper if you want disposable ones or on card stock if you want them more durable. You might laminate them if you want to reuse them every year. A copy of the rulers can be made on transparency for overhead projectors. The rulers can also be scanned into an electronic chalkboard.

The students should cut out the rulers to separate them. This hands-on activity allows the students to study the rulers as they are cutting.

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADED MANUAL

• Text is in color but may be printed in color or in black and white.
• Make two copies of the rulers on transparencies for use on overhead or electronic board. Cut one apart and leave the other whole. The whole sheet will illustrate equivalencies between the fractions. The separated rulers will be used to do the steps to solve individual exercises.

When printing your manual please note there is NO scaling and it must be printed at 100% in order for the rulers to be accurately presented. Below is an example of printing instructions from Adobe Acrobat v8.
