The downloaded manual will contain the text, some problems that learners should work using the Progressive Ruling method, some measurement activities to familiarize the learners with the rulers, and a copy of the rulers on one page. When the rulers are copied, the learners should cut them out. By doing this the learner will see some of the relationships between the fractions. Encourage the learner to study the rulers, place them next to one another, and ask questions about what they see. Work each problem with the learner(s) step-by-step. Encourage questions at each step. Learners will "see" fractions as they have never seen them before. There will be a lot of "aha" moments when they understand what has been unclear to them before.
